Marketing

The marketing intern will get an opportunity to apply the marketing strategies learned in class to help the non-profit organization TAP-SD meet its marketing goals.  They will interact mostly with the Board members of the non-profit on ways to market the organization and its events.  At times, the marketing intern may need to assist in matters of Public Relations.  The intern can work remotely, or can work from the office at the Taiwanese American Community Center. Graphics

While the non-profit organization has a certain public image, the graphics intern will get to expand their portfolio and experiment with their own creativity to produce graphics for various events, promotional images, and designs.  They will be interacting with the Board members and other interns to understand the graphic needs of particular assignments.  The intern can work remotely or can work from the TAP-SD office at the Taiwanese American Community Center. Web

How many hours do you spend online? Is it time well spent? How would you like to spend some of that time learning some valuable working skills? Get a competitive edge in the working world by learning some website management and programming skills as the TAP-SD Web Intern. The Web Intern position will be in charge of managing website content which includes posting new events, posting pictures from events, and general updating of website content using a content management system (CMS). In addition to managing content, the intern will learn about how to use the CMS to build a website from scratch and how to enhance the website using plug ins, theming (html/css), and programming. The intern will receive guidance from the site’s current webmaster and also a full time web professional. As Sponsorship Intern, you will build and manage your own “book” of company and personal contacts, solicit for new sponsors, grow existing relationships with existing sponsors, and assist in the planning of fundraising activities.
