With weather cooling down now, let’ bust out those hiking shoes and hike up to Three Sisters!
Located near Descanso, CA. Three Sisters is known for the three waterfalls at the end of the trail.
It’ll be a 4.0mi out and back hike with a total elevation gain of 1000ft. You’ll get a chance for a panoramic view of Cuyamaca Peak in the east and rolling hills of eastern San Diego to the west.
There’ll be a section of light rope climbing, and once we get to the falls we’ll have some time to relax a bit before returning.
If we get good rain prior to the event, it should be possible to take a quick slide down into the pool!
Gas will be split among people in the car. Will even it up the best we can.
Current Tentative Itinerary:
6:30am meet at Westfield UTC. Leave by 7:00am to carpool. Drive will take about 1.5hrs. The entire hike should take approximate 2-4hrs depending on how long we rest. We should be back at UTC between 1:30-3:00pm (and possibly go eat)
Things to Bring:
Water, plenty, don’t skimp on it
Hiking shoes (running shoes can work)
Sunglasses and/or Hat
