“30th on 30th” is a monthly event that takes place on the 30th of the month on 30th Street (North Park). Many restaurants have special offerings and prices on both food and drinks on this night. It’s like a combination of a food festival and a pub crawl.
As the date approaches, someone usually posts information about what specials will be offered. You can check them out at http://the2line.blogspot.com/2010/01/30th-on-30th.html . Some things that sound tasty are:
“agave wine margaritas with a slice of one of our delicious pizzas, $3.00″
“$3 Pork Belly Tacos”
“$3 Niman Ranch Pulled Pork Sliders”
“Cheese Biscuit-Beef Cheek Sliders with Smoked Tomato Jam paired with Hibiscus Rose Sangria”
“cabeza street tacos (grass-fed beef) $2 each”
This month, the 30th falls on a Saturday, so it’s OK to stay out late! If you’re new to San Diego, or even if you’ve been here a while, this is a great way to experience more of San Diego.
As this is a Saturday event, parking will probably be a little sparse, so we’ll start the adventure at the Taiwan Center and carpool to 30th Street. We’ll probably be out there for a couple hours, so it’s OK to join us later. Just make sure to take down the contact person’s phone number to find out where the group is.
*** Meeting place on 30th Street not set yet, and actual carpool time may change too, so check here for details ***
Date: Saturday, July 30
Location: Taiwan Center (if you want to carpool). You can also meet us on 30th Street …
